Kedian Dixon, LMHC, LPC

Therapist - Individuals & Couples

Many of us feel stretched too thin, unsure how to navigate a world that often tells us we’re not enough. As a therapist who grew up in a Caribbean household, I understand the importance of cultural identity and its impact on mental well-being. I will meet you with warmth and compassion, honoring your unique story and creating a space where you can freely express yourself without judgment.

My journey has taken me from California, where I was born, to Massachusetts, where I was raised, and now to Houston, Texas, which I’m proud to call home.

I believe reaching out for help is an act of incredible courage. It takes strength to acknowledge that you’re hurting and to seek support. My goal is to help you reclaim your power, set strong boundaries, and design a life that honors your aspirations and well-being without giving up the things you love.

In my practice, you’ll find a space where your voice truly matters.  I utilize a blend of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and mindfulness to create personalized strategies that resonate with our lived experiences, always with the goal of helping you feel empowered to move toward a life of meaning and joy.

I’m a licensed psychotherapist, and after completing my graduate degree at Cambridge College, I knew I was meant to be a therapist. I love creating that space for my clients and being there for them through life’s ups and downs. I offer both individual and couples counseling.

If you’re ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing, you can find me in person at our Houston practice or via telehealth if you live in Texas or Massachusetts. I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Currently accepting new clients for individual therapy, couples therapy and premarital counseling.

A little more about me.

As someone who navigates the world through the lens of a woman of color, it’s important to me to recognize each individual’s unique journey and experiences. I recognize and appreciate each of my clients’ beliefs, customs, and values in order to engage with them without judgment and try to remain curious and open throughout our work together to better understand the world through their eyes.

I constantly strive to ensure that my clients feel safe with me, therefore providing culturally affirming care that celebrates all intersectional identities is a foundation of my work. This assists me in supporting my clients move towards an improved outlook on life and motivation for positive change. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to build and foster meaningful relationships, and that the relationship we build together can serve as a great example of this. If you decide to work with me, I will make every effort to create a safe space for you to explore your inner world with me and offer you the opportunity to address your past experience and current challenges to move towards healing in order to improve your overall functioning and quality of life.

I have been trained in a range of therapeutic disciplines and work collaboratively with my clients to build a treatment plan that is tailored to their individual needs. My work is grounded in being Humanistic and Person-Centered, which means that you are my priority and building a strong foundation for our therapeutic relationship is paramount to me.

I utilize the following theoretical models and clinical approaches:
