Destination Therapy is seeking a licensed therapist in the State of Texas who desires to provide a mix of telehealth and face to face professional counseling and psychotherapy services to our private practice clientele.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling, psychology or social work, and an active, unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LCPC) in the State of Texas (must be fully independently licensed).
- Abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Destination Therapy. A copy of the license must be provided to Destination Therapy.
- Passionate about the art of therapy with a growth mindset and extensive knowledge of mental health conditions and can work independently on tasks utilizing best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills to counsel and support patients.
- Organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective treatment plans and maintain up-to-date, easy-to-navigate patient files.
- Computer skills to operate telehealth services, record-keeping, scheduling, email and word-processing software.
- Able to take direct and constructive feedback and run with it.
Responsibilities
- The therapist will provide outpatient individual and couples psychotherapy and counseling services to clients of Destination Therapy (combination of telehealth and on-site) in accordance with company policies.
- The therapist is expected to be available to provide a minimum of twenty four (24) hours of client sessions per week for a full time position.
- Administrative duties such as actively managing a caseload, communicating with clients and secondary supports, provide referrals for additional care or services when required.
- Able to attend biweekly team meetings for continued development, case conceptualization, processes, treatment plans, and special client needs.
- Conduct and regulate counseling services in a punctual, professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Destination Therapy. Regulating counseling services includes the expectations to facilitate the session, respond to client communications outside of session and manage the scheduling of sessions alongside administrative support staff.
- Facilitate initial consultations, complete intakes, assess symptoms, create treatment plans and assign diagnoses as necessary on a timely basis of a client appointment within 48 hours.
- Provide appropriate therapeutic support, assess clients’ ongoing needs and utilize evidence-based practices in keeping with approved group practices.
- Continually assess client risk to self or others, and take appropriate steps to manage risk, intervening with emergency protocols as needed.
- Keep client files in a format acceptable to the field and utilize the Company provided Electronic Health Records (“EHR”) system in accordance with company policies.
- Maintaining accurate, confidential detailed written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, and other forms of documents which may be needed or required from time to time by Destination Therapy or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the client within a timely fashion (by Friday of each week).
- Contribute to the practice’s brand presence and community engagement through participation in marketing-related responsibilities, which may include blog writing, social media content, workshops, events, and other outreach efforts that help build connection and attract aligned clients.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, including continuing education, specialized training, and clinical learning opportunities that strengthen areas of expertise and support high-quality client care.

Benefits:
- Destination Therapy offers a competitive tiered pay structure that supports clinician growth and earning potential over time. Clinicians earn 48% to 55% of net collected revenue, with commission increasing based on billable session volume each biweekly pay period. This structure is designed to reward consistency, caseload development, and sustained client care. In addition, the employee shall be compensated on an hourly basis of $20.00 per hour for required team meetings or business-related events.
- Guaranteed Split Benefit: Eligible clinicians may elect up to two biweekly pay periods per year to be paid at the 55% split, regardless of session volume, as a way to support financial stability and flexibility. Use of this benefit is subject to tenure, documentation, notice, and minimum activity requirements.
- Healthcare Reimbursement: Eligible clinicians may participate in Destination Therapy’s QSEHRA plan, which provides reimbursement support for qualifying health insurance premiums and other eligible medical expenses.
- 401(k) Retirement Plan: Eligible clinicians have access to a 401(k) plan as part of Destination Therapy’s commitment to supporting long-term financial wellness and future planning.
- Office Space & Supplies: Clinicians are provided with therapy office space for in-person sessions and meetings, including modern office furnishings and supplies.
- Scheduling Flexibility: Clinicians are offered flexibility with scheduling and time off, provided that monthly client care goals are met and continuity of care is maintained.
- Technology & Practice Tools: Therapists are provided access to the EHR system, along with HIPAA-compliant phone, fax, and email accounts.
- Marketing Support: Destination Therapy covers marketing costs, including business cards, web-based marketing, and therapy directory listings.
- Insurance Coverage: Malpractice and workers’ compensation insurance are provided.
